How do I know if something is wrong?
The first indication that something is wrong is when the DirSync Status tile in the Microsoft 365 admin center indicates there is a problem.
You will also receive a mail (to the alternate email and to your admin email) from Office 365 that indicates your tenant has encountered directory synchronization errors. For details see Identify directory synchronization errors in Office 365.
How do I get Azure Active Directory Connect tool?
In the Microsoft 365 admin center, navigate to Users > Active users. Click the More menu (three dots) and select Directory synchronization.
Follow the instructions in the wizard to download Azure AD Connect.

Hi Emma,Hold down the Shift Key as you start Word. Microsoft word files messed up on mac. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 three different times, and ran a virus scan that came up clean. Every time I open Microsoft Word, tons of documents open, some of which I haven't had open in a long time, and then the app freezes and I have to force quit.I've tried updating my computer from Mavericks to Yosemite, as well as other software updates. I can't think of anything elseit could be, but I'd really like to get this sorted out as I'm a student and Microsoft Word is pretty essential.Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!Emma.
